Why Musicology
Learn from real industry experience
Most music schools are staffed by teachers. This one is staffed by the people who signed, managed and toured the acts you already own.

Jeff Hanson
Jeff Hanson is a music industry executive who has helped develop and manage artists that went on to shape modern rock. He found Creed playing covers at Floyd’s Music Store in Tallahassee in 1997, and he signed Hayley Williams of Paramore when she was fourteen.
Across his career he has worked closely with Sevendust and Alter Bridge, built one of the first new-artist 360 deals with Atlantic, and founded Silent Majority Group. His clients have sold roughly 60 million records between them.
You don’t have to have talent to be a musician. You just have to have the desire.Jeff Hanson, founder

The MusicologyMethod
Credibility gets a student through the door once. The method is what keeps them coming back on a Tuesday in February.
- 01
Song-based learning
You learn on music you actually want to play, not exercises you have to endure.
- 02
Ensemble collaboration
Playing with other people is the lesson, not the reward at the end of it.
- 03
Performance as a learning tool
The stage is not the exam. It is how the learning gets locked in.
- 04
Personalized instruction
Placement by assessment, then a path built for that student and nobody else.
- 05
Encouraging, pressure-free environments
Confidence first. The technique follows a student who is not afraid to try.
